The Board of Directors

The board of directors has seven members, all volunteer shareholders, who are elected at the annual meeting of shareholders in April. The board governs and oversees the management of the co-op, including its finances, infrastructure, buying and selling of apartments, hiring of staff, contractors, and so forth. The board's decisions are implemented by the building staff and its managing agent, AKAM Associates, Inc.
